If your vehicle’s remote climate control feature is not working as expected through the MyToyota App, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Wait for Previous Commands to Finish
If you’ve recently sent another command through the app (e.g., door lock/unlock, charging start/stop), make sure it has been completed before sending a new one.
2. Vehicle Ignition Status
Ensure the vehicle is turned off before requesting remote climate control. The feature will not function while the car is running.
3. Battery Charge Level
Remote climate control requires the battery to have at least 40% charge. Please check your charge level. You can check it on your multimedia display, by clicking on the car icon and then choosing Energy flow. For exact guidance, look for "State of charge" in your owner's manual or on our website: https://www.toyota.si/customer/manuals
4. Vehicle Locked and Doors Closed
Verify that all doors are closed and the vehicle is locked. The system won't activate otherwise.
5. Air Conditioning Must Be Enabled
If the air conditioning system is turned off, the remote climate control will not work. Turn it on before using the feature.
6. Recent Vehicle Activity
If the vehicle hasn’t been driven in the past 9 days, remote services may be temporarily disabled. Take the car for a short drive to reactivate remote functionality.
7. Vehicle Network Coverage
Make sure the vehicle is parked in an area with good network coverage. Basements, underground garages, or remote areas may block communication.
8. Mobile Network Coverage
Ensure your mobile phone has a strong network signal. Without adequate coverage, the command cannot be sent from your device to the vehicle.
9. App Updates
Check for available updates to the MyToyota App in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. An outdated app version can affect functionality.
